This course is the state required prerequisite for an Texas resident that applying for a Texas Concealed Handgun License.
The course includes classroom coverage of the CHL laws, the required shooting test at a range, and all of the required paperwork. The course is a 10-hours as required by state law.
This course does NOT teach students how to shoot. Students with little or no handgun experience are strongly encouraged to take the NRA Basic Pistol Course prior to the CHL course.

The State of Texas has published guidelines that establish the Eligibility Requirements that CHL Licenses must meet before they may be issued a Concealed Handgun License.
